Don’t ignore your daily driver!

So I’ve got a Toyota Matrix as a daily driver and let me tell you. I really do not take care of this thing. Aside from the regular preventative maintenance, as long as it runs good I really don’t care how it looks. But it has not seen a detail in I don’t even know how long. Drive through carwashes, parking it outside with the sun beating on it is not something that is good for your paint. By now my paint felt like 60 grit sandpaper even after a wash! my buddy Peter from TeamVitz Detailing said I should drop my car off for a detail so I agreed to it. It was something I’ve been meaning to do for a while but you all know how it goes.. we’re all to busy to take care of our cars. I think I gained more horsepower with this detail than I did adding the More Japan stickers!

After pretty much a full days work which included, in wash, paint correction, clay, wax, polish engine bay and interior detailing and even headlight restoration I was amazed! I pick up the car at night and it even looked great! The next morning after I saw how the paint way and how the whole car looked in general, I couldn’t believe that the paint good look that good again. Now it’s my job to keep it that way!

Today’s lesson is to take care of your daily driver as well as your weekend cars! I mean you spend more time with them anyway. Remember, a clean car is a happy car!
