Over the weekend I hung out with my friend and his 3 other friend who I learned that owns subarus. They were installing parts on their car at night in their garage. What would be asimple bolt on job that would take about 2hrs became a 5hr job. Why? It’s because a single bolt on the turbo/downpipe is stripped and there was no way to take it off. 1am in the morning and we had no choice but to cut it off… Now imagine this happening to you car =]

It’s not a pretty sight… but it does the job done! And to a surprise we got that bolt off with no problem.

Hachiroku Jam
Over the weekend, I had the fever for mass destruction. And so, it was decided that visiting the local mountain pass would serve as a worthwhile evening activity. Here’s a view from the top, with all the city lights beneath.

Glutton Mode... Engaged!
Then of course, it was time to eat Pho. Vietnamese food is glorious in ways I can imagine. But eating is better than imagining, and so that is what I did. One rare steak & tripe bowl of Pho + one refuel of chicken with broth 20 minutes later + the 3-bean dessert at the end. Glutton mode… mission success.

Delectables
The following day… (yesterday) I was greeted with complementary delicacies from Japan. Oh what a beautiful way to start the morning. Inside, was strawberry daifuku filled with chocolate. And it was delicious!

Please to note
Please to note the text on the box. It says, “A new type of good taste. A taste everybody will be pleased with. Why not try one?” Don’t mind if I do. And, I did
This is my new pickup line. It won’t work though, but the story would make for a great followup to this post. Anyways…

Wedding Receptions
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009
My friend’s mom got married over the weekend. As praise for gracing the earth with my presence, I was invited to the happy couple’s wedding reception. During the bountiful feast, I was served sharkfin soup and lobster, amongst many other delicious animals.

The attendees were all secret service agents, and so their identities must continue to remain anonymous.
