Kousuke Kida, the owner of Signal Auto was in a bousouzoku (car gang) during his youth, which he called the "Kyoshinkai" He drove a Datsun 240Z and ruled the highways with his friends. Although they sometimes got into trouble with the law, they loved their cars and tuning. Kyoshinkai was the start of Kousuke's interest in cars and is the 'soul of the gang'
